ANNAPURNA BASECAMP TREKKING
The Annapurna Base Camp lies at a height of 4,230 meters and is where mountaineers start their summit of Annapurna I, the 10th highest peak in the world at 8,091 meters. The ABC trail crosses a variety of terrain ranging from glacier and rice terraces to rocky stone steps and, along the way, offers an amphitheater of huge Himalayan peaks. The trek takes you through the villages of the ethnic communities and their fascinating culture. This region is the roots of the Gurkhas. It is especially beautiful during spring as rhododendron flowers along the trail turn red, pink and white.

The driving distance to Pokhara from Kathmandu is 200 kilometers and takes around 7 – 8 hours to reach Pokhara
The journey begins with combination of witnessing the local culture and tradition and great mountain panorama. Our guide will pick you from your hotel at Pokhara and drive to Phedi, then trek through beautiful village Dhampus – Pothana and trek to Tolka for overnight stay.
Trekking from Tolka to Sinuwa is today’s plan that takes some 7 hours hike. It is a pleasing trail for the beginning and then gradual down to Modi Khola. After Landruk then cross impressive and big suspension bridge at Jhinu Danda then steep climb up to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is another grand Gurung village. From this village, we trek down to the river and will climb again to Sinuwa.
The trek from Sinuwa to Deurali is a beautiful and challenging section of the Annapurna base camp trek. This route is both physically demanding and incredibly rewarding offering a mix of lush forests, rocky terrain and stunning mountain vistas as you make your way towards the higher elevations.
Above Deurali, the valley widens and becomes less steep. As you walk further, more beautiful White Mountains are seen and close. The trail turns to the left in the valley after Machhapuchhre Base Camp and it is pleasant walk up ABC though the air is thinner now. You may feel at the high altitude. It is recommended not rush and walk gently. Now you can see the one of best 360˙degree Mountain View in world from Base Camp. There are tremendous views of giant Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (6997m) and several other wonderful peaks.
After enjoying amazing Mountain View and taking hot cup of tea or coffee, we take hot breakfast and trek down to Dovan or Bamboo via MBC, Deurali and Himalaya.
From Bamboo we walk up during 30 minute and it is pleasant jungle walk to Sinuwa then head down to Chhumrung river & walk up long stone staircase up upper Chhomrung then walk toward komrong khola and up to a small pass called Komrong Danda and then around 30 minutes’ walk to Ghandruk.
After breakfast, we trek to Siwai that takes about 1 hour walk then we drive to Pokhara and takes around 3 -4 hours to reach Pokhara
Pokhara is a place to relax. You can take a walk along the lake. You can lay down and watch the Paraglider flying over the lake. A wonderful place to charge your energy and relax your tired bones after a trekking trip. There are also many adventure sports available in Pokhara.
