Start your journey by exploring the heart of Malaga, where you can visit the Alcazaba, an ancient Moorish fortress offering spectacular views over the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Just below it, explore the Roman Theatre, a 1st-century BC ruin, and then make your way to the impressive Malaga Cathedral, known for its unfinished second tower. Take some time to appreciate the city’s vibrant art scene at the Picasso Museum, dedicated to the iconic artist born in Malaga. In the evening, stroll along Muelle 1, a lively waterfront area perfect for a sunset drink by the sea.
Begin your day by exploring the Carmen Thyssen Museum, which showcases an impressive collection of 19th-century Spanish art, particularly works from the Andalusian school. Afterward, take a stroll through the Atarazanas Market, a bustling and colorful market housed in a historic building. It’s a great place to sample local products, such as fresh seafood, cheeses, olives, and cured meats, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere.
