This is the second largest island within the Langkawi archipelago and contained within is the largest islandic freshwater lake in Malaysia. The Dayang Bunting Lake as it is called is separated from the sea by a very thin ridge of limestone. Legend claims that the lake bestows fertility upon barren women.
