12 Day Rome and Cruise to the Greek Islands and the Turkish coast

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, you'll have the entire day to explore Rome at your own pace. With countless options at your fingertips, you can choose to wander around on foot, visit magnificent monuments, indulge in shopping, or savor the local cuisine, which offers a wide array of pasta, vegetable, meat, and fish dishes. Rome holds a special place as the epicenter of the Catholic religion and boasts the highest concentration of historical and architectural treasures in the world. In 1980, Rome, along with the extraterritorial properties of the Holy See within the city and the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, was rightfully inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Tip: If you wish, you can opt to visit the Colosseum, either in the morning or the afternoon. Simply select your preference during Step 1 of the reservation process.

In the morning you will enjoy a delicious breakfast and then have the rest of the day free to appreciate and delight in the beauty of this wonderful city. Don't miss out on the must-see landmarks such as the Colosseum and the Forum, as well as taking a stroll through the vibrant Roman squares adorned with captivating fountains. In the evening, you can enjoy a dinner of your choice and unwind with a rejuvenating night's sleep at your hotel. Tip: For a memorable dining experience in Rome, we recommend exploring the Trastevere neighborhood and trying one of the charming trattorias. Indulge in a delectable Italian seafood dish paired with a glass of their house white wine.

After breakfast, and at the time indicated, we will transfer you to Rome International Airport for your flight to Athens. Upon your arrival in the mythical city of Athens, you will be greeted with a seamless transfer to your hotel in one of our vehicles, where your professional and friendly English-speaking driver will ensure your comfort and convenience throughout the journey. Later in the afternoon, at an agreed time, our representative will meet you at the hotel to provide all the essential details of your trip. They will also offer a captivating presentation of the city, sharing insights into its everyday way of life. This is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions and have any doubts dispelled, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the rest of your trip. You will have the remainder of the day free to relax and discover Athens at your own pace, taking in the sights, sounds, and flavors of this remarkable city. Tip: You can reach the top of Mount Lycabettus by a funicular or on foot and you will enjoy an incredible panoramic view of Athens.

At the time indicated, one of our vehicles, along with your assistant, will pick you up to transfer you to Pireaus port, where you will board your cruise ship. On this first day, you will have time to enjoy the sun on deck, marvel at the deep blue of the Aegean, or join one of the activities and services on offer. Aboard this cruise, It includes a full board meal plan with a package of select alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during service hours. Now you can really concentrate on having a great time!

At 12:30 AM, after a calm night navigation, you will wake up in Thessaloniki, vibrant, colorful, and full of history, after Athens, it is the second city in Greece. Palm-lined avenues house glamorous shops and gourmet restaurants, and historic cobblestone streets present traditional tavernas to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. You will have time to walk, explore, and shop in this beautiful ancient city. At 6:00 PM, our cruise will depart for Kusadasi.

At 1:00 PM, after quiet navigation, we will wake up on the Turkish coast to visit Kusadasi, a starting point to discover the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the twelve Ionian cities, an important cultural, religious, and commercial center, visited by personalities such as San Pablo, Marco Antonio and Cleopatra. Ephesus was also considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This city was founded by the Greeks around 2000 BC. C. During our stop here, we will have time on our own to discover the Agora, Odeon, the Library of Celsus, or to check out the shops at the port market. Our ship will depart for Crete at 8:00 PM. Tip: The word Kusadasi means "Island of the Birds". Although cruise ships dominate the scene!

After a generous breakfast, your cruise ship will drop anchor at the largest Greek island, Crete. More precisely, you will arrive in Heraklion, the island's capital and home of King Minos and the ferocious Minotaur. Heraklion was the most significant city of the Minoan civilization, with the oldest palatial complex in Europe, the Palace of Knossos. You will have a free morning to explore this vibrant, working, small metropolis, and then, at around 19:00 hours, you will depart for the fantastic and picturesque island of Santorini.

In the early morning, after a gentle night of sailing, you will arrive at the picturesque island of Santorini. The approach to the island is fascinating, and it is the ideal time to photograph the city of Fira, with its white houses hanging on the slope that faces the volcano. The name of the island is the deformation of the name given to it in the Middle Ages by the Venetian merchants who called it Saint Irene, as this is the Saint patron of the island. In 1576, Santorini became part of the Duchy of Naxos, until the Turkish conquest of Piyale Pasha. From 7:00 AM, Santorini will be at our complete disposal so that we discover its unique and legendary beauty. The cruise will leave for Mykonos before dawn the following day, at around 0:30 AM. Tip: Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world from one of the many coffee stores, located on the cliffs.

After a quiet navigation, we will wake up on the island of Mykonos. We recommend checking at the counters on each floor for the best optional excursions available to make the most of your day, for example, visiting the island of Delos, with a fantastic Mykonos-style lunch, or excursions to the beach of Kalafatis, or the capital of Mykonos, Chora, where we will find the famous Little Venice. If these proposals are not of your interest, you can just relax and decide between staying on board or getting to know Mykonos on your own. The cruise will leave for Milos before dawn the following day, at around 2:00 AM.

After a quiet night of navigation, you will wake up on the Island of Colors, Milos. The real beauty of this truly gorgeous island is to be found in its stunning landscapes, wind and sea-sculptured rock formations, soft sandy beaches, secluded coves, and crystal-clear aquamarine waters. The island's most famous export is the Venus de Milo. Tip: Kleftiko is undoubtedly the most famous place in Milos, and is because its rock formations in the middle of the sea along with its network of caves are impressive.

You will arrive at the port of Piraeus early in the morning (7:00 AM), and at 07:30 AM a member of our staff will drive you to Athens Airport to board your international flight back home or to your next destination. For your convenience, we recommend that your next flight leaves after 12:00.
