We'll be waiting at the airport when your plane lands in Cairo to help you with your visa and getting through immigration control. Then we'll take you to your hotel, and take you out to eat in a restaurant in the capital. If you arrive later than 9 pm, instead of dinner you'll get a cold picnic at the hotel.
Having eaten breakfast, we'll visit the Great Pyramid of Giza, The Pyramid of Khafre, Pyramid of Menkaure and the Sphinx in the famous archaeological complex just outside the city. Feeling immersed in the culture and history of Egypt, the tour then hits the road to Memphis and Saqqara - the ruins of the original ancient Cairo. Having eaten lunch, we'll head back to your hotel to relax before enjoying a night tour of Cairo, drinking in the Egyptian capital illuminated by night. This tour includes a stop at the famous Café of Mirrors. To end the night, you'll get to try the local cuisine in a traditional restaurant.
The third day of our tour will be dedicated to the Saladin Citadel of Cairo, The Alabaster Mosque and the Khan el-Khalili Souk Market. In this thousand-year-old labyrinth of street stalls, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of Cairo and its artisan culture, full of jewels, perfumes and musical instruments. The tour then continues discovering the history of Cairo in the Egyptian Museum and the Coptic Neighbourhood, before we take you back to your hotel for the night, head full of images of Cairo.
After breakfast, we'll make our way to the airport to embark on a plane to the most southerly city in Egypt, Aswan, known as Syene to the ancient Egyptians, and the place where they would quarry the stone for their colossal statues. Once we're here, we'll take you to the hotel where we'll rest until the following day.
On the morning of the fifth day, we'll swing by to pick you up at the hotel and head over to the cruise ship that will take us around to explore the Nile. Our first stop will be at the Philae temple, located on a beautiful island, and known as the Jewel of the Nile. To get to know Aswan in depth, we'll drive to Abu Simbel, where we'll visit the famous Egyptian temples. In the afternoon, we'll return to the ship and spend the night on board.
We'll enjoy a delightful sixth day on board our cruise as we sail the Nile on the way to Komb Ombo. The tour disembarks at sunset in this beautiful town on the banks of the river to explore its historic temple. From the Ptolemaic dynasty, it's unique for its double design and its double dedication, with rooms duplicated and dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Then we'll head back to the boat to eat dinner and relax as we navigate the Nile towards Edfu.
First thing in the morning, we'll visit the Edfu Temple, the second largest in the country and certainly among the best conserved. With a tour inside one of the major temples dedicated to the god Horus, we'll learn about the history and significance of the enigmatic murals which decorate the walls. Then back on the boat, we'll pass through the lock and head towards Luxor. Important: The tour of Edfu will take place in a horse-drawn carriage. If you do not wish to take the tour in this mode of transport, you can let the guide know the day before so that another transport can be arranged for € 15 per person.
The eighth day of our tour package is dedicated to Luxor, where we'll enjoy a jampacked day in what was once known as Thebes, the capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom. Here we'll visit Karnak, the Luxor Temple, The Colossi of Memnon and The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Our last stop will be the world-renowned Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of almost all the pharaohs of the New Kingdom can be found. Having explored Luxor, we'll hit the road towards Hurghada, where we'll set ourselves up in our hotel away, eat dinner and relax.
After an intense day exploring Luxor, you'll be glad of this relaxing twenty-four hours in Egypt's premier beach town, Hurghada. Located on the banks of the Red Sea, you'll spend the day relaxing and enjoying the resort's installations.
To complete our visit to Hurghada, we recommend a dip in the Red Sea enjoying the vibrant colour of its waters filled with coral and marine life.
After breakfast, we'll fly to Cairo and assist you until you board your international flight. The final day depends on the timing of your international flight. If it leaves Cairo early, we'll head back early from Hurghada and offer you a continental breakfast or something to go. Or, if your return flight is in the evening, you won't have to get up quite so early, and we'll offer you breakfast at the hotel before taking you to Hurghada for your flight to Cairo.
Reserve your ideal trip early for a hassle-free trip; secure comfort and convenience!
